Każde narodziny to cud. A jeśli możesz tego cudu doświadczyć w małej wioseczce w środku dżungli na końcu świata takiej jak kongijska Ntamguenga. To jest to wydarzenie które z pewnością zapamiętasz do końca życia.
Miałem zaszczyt być świadkiem takich narodzin. Gdy 29 letnia Julienne w szpitalu w Ntamugendze urodziła swoje 4 już dziecko. 3,5 kilogramowego zdrowego synka :-). Maleństwu za pomocą tzw. cesarskiego cięcia pomógł przyjść na świat świetny lekarz z kongiskiej kliniki - Dr Patient. Dzięki doświadczeniu i profesjonalizmowi zespołu szpitalu w Ntamugendze, który prowadził dr Patient, pomimo trudnych warunków wszystko przebiegło sprawnie i bez zbędnych komplikacji, a maluch już po chwili trafił w objęcia szczęśliwej mamy.
Every birth is a miracle. And if you can experience this in a small village in the middle of a jungle at the end of the world which Ntamguenga village (DRC) certainly is. This is an event that you will surely remember for the rest of your life.
I had the honour of witnessing such a miracle When 29-year-old Julienne in hospital in Ntamugenga gave birth to her 4th child,a beautiful and healthy son :-). His birth was helped with "Caesarean section” made by a great doctor from the local hospital - Dr. Patient. Thanks to the experience and professionalism of the hospital team in Ntamugenga, led by Dr. Patient, despite the difficult conditions, everything went smoothly and without any problems. And just after a short while the toddler hit the arms of a happy mother.
PRINCE
Mały Prince ma dopiero roczek, jest 4 dzieckiem w rodzinie. Pochodzi z Nkokwe, (okolice Rubare). Do ośrodka dożywiania przyszedł ze swoim tatą, który akurat wybrał się do Ntamugengi na targ.
Nasz mały książę trafił na szpitalny oddział dożywiania miesiąc temu gdzie był leczony specjalnym mlekiem terapeutycznym.
Teraz Prince jest już w fazie umiarkowanego niedożywienia, pozostanie pod stałą opieką personelu ośrodka i wierzymy, że już niedługo znów zacznie się uśmiechać.
Prince
Little Prince is only one year old, he is the fourth child in the family. He comes from Nkokwe, (around Rubare). He came to the center with his dad, who just went to the market in Ntamugenga.
Our little prince went to the hospital feeding ward a month ago where he was treated with the special therapeutic milk.
Now Prince is in a phase of moderate malnutrition, he is under the constant care of the staff of our center and we believe that soon he will start to smile again.
JULIENNE
Maleńka Julienne ma 3 miesiące. Jest ósmym dzieckiem w rodzinie. Razem z tatą mieszka w Rugari. Jest półsierotą. Jej mama niedawno zmarła. chorowała prawdopodobnie na ciężką odmianę malarii, która doprowadziła do silnej anemii. Jej stan zdrowia bardzo szybko się pogarszał. Rodzina szukała pomocy ale w Ośrodku zdrowia w Rugari nie potrafiono jej pomoc wiec skierowano ja do szpitala ją natychmiast do transportu do szpitala w Ntamugendze, który jest jedynym w okolicy ośrodkiem wykonującym transfuzje krwi.
Niestety mama Julienne nie przeżyła drogi do szpitala który był jej ostatnią deską ratunku. Ojciec dziecka został sam z siedmiorgiem rodzeństwa Julienne. W wychowaniu pomaga mu teraz babcia. Ekipa pielęgniarską w ośrodku dożywiania od razu otoczyła rodzine opieką i włączyła maleńką Julienne w program dożywiania mlekiem zastępczym dla niemowląt. Ntamugenga to jedyny ośrodek w okolicy gdzie potrzebujący mogą za symboliczna opłatą lub często zupełnie za darmo otrzymać ten tak trudno dostępny tutaj rodzaj mleka dla niemowląt, który tak naprawdę ratuje kilkumiesięcznym maleństwom życie.
Little Julienne is only 3 months old. She is the eighth child in the family. She and her dad live in Rugari. She is a half-orphan. Her mother recently died. She probably had some form of malaria which led to severe anemia. Her health deteriorated very quickly. Her family looked for help in Rugari but the local health center was not able to help her, so they immediately directed her to be transported to the hospital in Ntamugenga, which is the only center performing blood transfusions in the area.
Unfortunately, Julienne's mother did not survive the road to the hospital. The father of the child was left alone with the seven siblings of Julienne. Granny now helps him in looking after the grandchildren. The nursing team at the feeding center immediately took care of the family and included tiny Julienne into the feeding programme with the milk substitute formula for infants. Ntamugenga is the only center in the area where those in need may often for a symbolic fee or absolutely free get this kind of milk for babies that is very difficult to find here. The special milk substitue is a real thing here which really saves lives of such little babies.
MUBENE
Mubene ma 3,5 roku. Do ośrodka dożywiania w Ntamugendze został odesłany z placówki w Kabaya. Przyszedł z mamą o pięknym imieniu Mukobwa, (co oznacza ta która zasługuje na posag). Mama ma 21 lat i całe życie przeżyła w Kabaya, ale nie udało się jej tam uzyskać pomocy dla siebie i synka. Mubene został przyjęty do ośrodka dożywiania w styczniu, w bardzo ciężkim stanie. Przez 2. tyg był na terapii mlekiem terapeutycznym na szpitalnym oddziale dożywiania. Teraz przychodzi z mamą na regularną kontrolę. Aktualnie jest juz w trzeciej ostatniej fazie dożywiania i patrząc na jego zawadiacki uśmiech można mieć nadzieję, że już niedługo osiągnie prawidłową wagę odpowiednią do swojego wieku.
Mubene is 3.5 years old. He was sent to the feeding center in Ntamgunga from the hospital in Kabaya . He came with his mother named Mukobwa (which means one who deserves a dowry). She is 21 years old and she spent her whole life in Kabaya, but she couldn’t find help for her son there. Mubene was taken to the feeding center in Ntamguenga in January and he was in a very bad condition. For two weeks he was treated with the therapeutic milk in the hospital feeding ward. Now he comes with her mother for regular control every week. Currently, he is already in the third and last phase of feeding and looking at his swashbuckling smile, we can hope that soon he will gain proper weight appropriate to his age.
